Show Procedure/Function name lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- faber · 2010-06-30 23:31 Suppose that I have several procedures and each procedure have a few hundred lines of code. How to check in which procedure I am currently ? I don't want to scroll up and look for the name of the procedure. Is there any way? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2010-06-30 23:38 Yes there is. Right click the code folding tree (the vertical line under the [+] / [-]. The pop up menu contains all the outer fold-point, including the procedure line. this only works: - if the name of the procedure is on the same line as the procedure keyword - code folding is enabled for procedures One day in the future something better ought to be added... Alternatively: Lock the current page (context menu; or you can assign a key-short- cut), then use jump to declaration (ctrl-shift-up) => a new window will open, and show you the declaration in the interface. http://lazarus-dev.blogspot.com/2010/04/page-locking-or-multiply- editor-windows.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- theo · 2010-06-30 23:53 Quote from: Martin_fr on July 01, 2010, 01:38:31 amYes there is. Maybe CodeExplorer could be synchronized with the cursor-position (optionally)? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- faber · 2010-06-30 23:58 Right click on the code folding tree, great, this is what I'm looking for.
