[solved] Candidates for testing of 2.4.0 lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- IndianaJones · 2009-12-08 10:33 Hi all, I have been doing fpc 2.4.0 testing, but I confused. Here in the steps that mentioned IDE, which IDE is this? and where is the location? Thanks. Intel Core2Duo, Mac OS X 10.5.8 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- IndianaJones · 2009-12-08 14:41 Hi, FPIDE, FPE and also fpGUI are not cross-platform IDEs so I just wonder if there is an text editor like in Turbo Pascal in all supported platforms? But anyway the case is solved none of the editors are cross-platform. At least fpGUI supports both Linux and Windows environment. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- marcov · 2009-12-08 21:00 Quote from: IndianaJones on December 08, 2009, 11:33:11 amI have been doing fpc 2.4.0 testing, but I confused. Here in the steps that mentioned IDE, which IDE is this? and where is the location? The IDE is a textmode IDE, Turbo Pascal style, with compiler and debugger linked into the binary. The Mac maintainer doesn't package it for OS X. The go32v2, Haiku, linux, freebsd and Windows maintainers do. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- IndianaJones · 2009-12-09 14:32 So here is your description the fp-ide package is not embedded in the fpc-2.4.0rc1.intel-macosx.dmg. Also when I looked after the installed package bom file, i havent seen any file such fp-ide or something like this. However the textmode IDE can be built fairly easily on OS X from FPC source. (packages/fv and ide/ directories of the FPC sources)
