Disable automatic end; when I type begin ? lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bart · 2009-10-10 17:00 The feature where the IDE automatically inserts "end;" every time I type "begin" and then (sometimes some time later) press Enter, is rather annoying to me. I've had it severla time placing "end;" in places it did not belong. I tried to disable it, but cannot find the right place to do so. I must be overlooking it. Any help? Ex.: if (contition) then begin [shift]+[enter] <----writting code here            docommand [shift]+[enter]               <----writting code here            docommand [shift]+[enter]               <----writting code here            end;[manual type end]                     <----writting code here         if (contition) then begin                 <----------------existing code           if (contition) then begin            if (contition) then begin            end;           end;         end ; ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mike.Cornflake · 2014-09-25 09:39 Quote from: Never on September 25, 2014, 11:15:28 amJust in case someone need the feature !!! after you type "begin" if you do not want an automatic "end;" to be inserted - at the end of every line hold [shift] pressed and hit [enter] to change line. A few days later I wanted to search this setting again, but did not find it any more without looking up the answer in the forum. The reason why this setting is so hard to find is IMHO that there is another "completion" in the "codetools" section. No idea why I am always overlooking the "completion" node in the "editor" section. Don't know, but if other users have this same issue both "completion" groups should somehow be combined. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zeljko · 2014-09-29 06:01 Quote from: wp on September 29, 2014, 01:01:25 amI had asked this same question one to two weeks ago and got the same answer.
