I can not type

Hi everybody!

i have just downloaded Lazarus  and install it. I can create new
project but I can't type anything. I type, but i can not see any text.
But, if I press ctrl+A then i press Ctrl+C and then paste on another
editor I'll see the text I was typed.

What happened with my project (any project).
I am using WindowsXP SP2

{ English isn't my language so that if i said something wrong, please
don't angry  }
