It's now been 3 days fighting do get a correct display of fonts in
Lazarus menu, property editors, dialogs, property sheet etc... In it's
curretn state on /my/ machine, I can't use Lazarus.

I have searched the web, trying to setup GTK to use a smaller font to
no avail, none of the suggestions worked. I don't know what to do and
unfortunately can't spend much more time on this. I'll monitor the
forums to see if anyone has got an idea but for now I can't make more
progress on using Lazarus. damn!

Hi...until you figure out your problem, would you be interested in
running Lazarus on Linux (Madriva 2007 w/ KDE) under a virtual machine
on top of Linux? At least you would be able to use it. If
interested...it would involve getting VMWare (free versions are
available from vmware.com) and the virtual machine files which I have
put together. The virtual machine is around 800-900 mb. If interested,
I can set it up for you to download.

Dr. Theo,

Funnilly enough that's exactly what I was about to to, I downloaded
Linux Mint to give it a go and tried to kill 2 birds with the same
stone; Look at Mint as well as dev under FPC. Unfortunatly I bodged my
setup, so I am redoing it

Thanks for the offer, If I don't go wjere I want soon enough, I'll
take on your offer.
