Editor Tab width/size?

How do you set the Tab width/size (the number of Space characters that
are inserted when you press the Tab key) in the Editor? It seems to be
8 or 10 characters, in a random manner, irrespective of what I set up
in Environment | Editor options... | General | Block indent. Using
Lazarus 0.9.20 beta 05/11/2006. Thanks.

What I did was edit the editoroptions.xml file in the lazarus
directory.  It worked.  Of course, you should back up the file before
doing anything.

The Block indent option is not the setting you want (it sets the tab
size when you indent several rows at once) but rather "Tab widths". I
couldn't find it myself until I though of resizing the options window.
Then it popped up below "Undo limit".
