newbie question on forms lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- pietrobossi · 2007-02-20 14:15 HelloAll, i just installed Lazarus on Suse 10 (KDE) and all seems to be OK. I use to work with Delphi7 for a couple of year... but i am a bit confused under lazarus. I try to wrote my first small program for Linux , and first problem arise: - how to have a nice and fix panel (main-program-window) without resize border and maximise button ?  (eg. Tform1.borderStyle = BSSingle ... ). When i select BorderIcons maximise=false, i get an error message telling that is not supported in gtk. Sorry, i am a newbie ... but i thik it's impossible that fixed- dimensions panels are not possible... Thanks, Pietro ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zorba · 2007-02-20 17:50 I'm not sure if I understand correctly but I think you don't want your form to be resized when it's running? I use the form's MAX and MIN height and width to input the same dimensions as they are when designing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- pietrobossi · 2007-02-20 22:41 hi Zorba, thank you for answer..... yes you are right, i do want a form that has fixed dimension (eg. 400x400) and user cannot maximise.... I will try your suggestion...... tnx ! Pietro ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Danail · 2007-02-22 13:45 Look at the properties of the Form  They are in the Object Inspector.  Change the Form Style proprty to a non resizable form.  You can also remove the resize butons from Object Inspector.
