Problem with SynEdit lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- fab25 · 2006-01-29 17:38 Hi everyone, I have a problem with an application I'm creating.  I recently switched it to UTF. I reedited all the captions to get the right letters but I'm stuck with the Synedit. It somehow refuses to use UTF-8. I entered my text in through the "Lines" property. When I type in the text, the accents are correctly shown (french accentuated letters à, ê, é and so on...) But when I close the lines editor, then all these accents appear distorted : I get À© instead of a é... If I select this text and paste it in a text editor or something else, the text appears OK again... Is there a property in the synedit that I'm missing? I tried to change the charset property in the font section and that did not change anything. Can anybody help me with that or has experienced the same problem and found a tweak? I'm on a Kubuntu with Lazarus 0.9.10 beta... The system is fully set to UTF-8. Thanks... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2006-02-12 00:14 Please read this thread: http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php?n ame=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=1831
