Selecting language for IDE lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Eugene · 2005-06-26 14:35 Lazarus starts on my computer in Russian KOI8 codepage (but windows supports win1251), thus I can't locate a language setup dialog at IDE. How to switch it into english or "ruwin" language? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Flo · 2005-06-26 15:08 Environment (menu thrid one from right) |->Environment options (first one) ---->Desktop (second one) ------->"English [en]" Flo ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2005-06-26 18:50 Thank you! Eugene ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Forest · 2005-07-02 19:13 Maybe IDE should start in English if there are more then one encoding available for detected language ? I had exactly the same problem with Polish (but there are much less non-ASCII chars in Polish so that was no problem to switch to WIN1250 instead of ISO8859-2) I'm using Windows XP Home. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2005-10-21 22:29 It would help to set the default language to the language the user chooses for installation, or give a choice the first time you start up Lazarus, or just use English by default! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2005-10-22 08:35 Quote from: "Anonymous"It would help to set the default language to the language the user chooses for installation, or give a choice the first time you start up Lazarus, or just use English by default! I will try to see, if using the installer language is possible for win32. Also we can force it to English, if the encoding is not UTF8 on linux. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2005-11-06 19:38 No installer language PT-BR (Brazil) ??? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2005-11-06 20:30 Quote from: "Anonymous"No installer language PT-BR (Brazil) ??? In windows, you mean? The installer can be in PT-BR. For the IDE, I think somebody started it, but it never got finished, looking at the pb.po files. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2005-11-07 03:18 The staff in Brazil starts a thing and he never finishes, therefore the image country never somebody gives credit to it! I had said referring to the Lazarus for Linux (IDE). sorry, my English is bad.
