Lazarus and US-International keyboard in Mdk9.2 lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- PauloFessel · 2004-02-09 15:33 Hello, all. I'm not able to type any characters that rely on compose key or dead keys. For example, strings in pascal are delimited by the "'" character. On the US International keyboard, I get this character typing "'-Space" and this works for all KDE-QT apps and also even GTK-GDK ones - Mozilla and The Gimp are two daily examples. However, at Lazarus IDE I can't get these characters. Instead, I get the character $B4 ("´" ), which can be obtained by typing "''". Also, I'm not able to get double-quotes - I get only the "umlaut" ("¨") character, which again is obtained in US Internal typing (""). Finally, the compose key does not work, and thus the last way I had to generate special and accented characters was gone. Is there any solution for this problem? TIA, Paulo Fessl ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2004-02-10 16:59 What version are you using ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hitnrun · 2007-09-07 20:06 I'm having the exact same problem, using the release lazarus from SF (0.9.22 beta) 7-9-07, on linux ubuntu. I can't type the string delimiter character => ' , as I can in all other applications. If I type ', I get A´, it is not waiting for the dead key to get the next key. Using american keyboard, with US International keyboard set. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2007-09-08 15:05 That's an old and known problem http://www.freepascal.org/mantis/view.php?id=1186
