Help (F1) when installing Lazarus using FpcUpDeluxe lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ap3000 · 2024-11-26 11:35 When installing Lazarus using FpcUpDeluxe on Windows, the F1 help doesn't work, but installing using the Windows installer from the Lazarus homepage works as expected. Do I miss a path configuration or does FpcUpDeluxe not install the help files? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dsiders · 2024-11-26 16:55 Quote from: ap3000 on November 26, 2024, 12:35:59 pmWhen installing Lazarus using FpcUpDeluxe on Windows, the F1 help doesn't work, but installing using the Windows installer from the Lazarus homepage works as expected. Do I miss a path configuration or does FpcUpDeluxe not install the help files? Does your Lazarus directory have CHM files in docs/chm? If not, they weren't installed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TRon · 2024-11-26 17:15 Quote from: ap3000 on November 26, 2024, 12:35:59 pmDo I miss a path configuration or does FpcUpDeluxe not install the help files? Did you explicitly checked the checkbox in setup+ where it states "include help" ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ap3000 · 2024-11-26 18:07 QuoteDoes your Lazarus directory have CHM files in docs/chm? If not, they weren't installed. No, docs/chm is empty - It contains only the empty file "OneFileToKeepThisDir.sh". QuoteDoes your Lazarus directory have CHM files in docs/chm? If not, they weren't installed. No, I'm using the FpcUpDeluxe to install it. This is an easy way to implement cross-compiling options. And it doesn't use the default installer and there you don't get this checkbox "Include help" But now the help is not been installed. Is there a way to install/copy the help files from somewhere else? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dsiders · 2024-11-26 18:17 Quote from: ap3000 on November 26, 2024, 07:07:32 pmQuoteDoes your Lazarus directory have CHM files in docs/chm? You can download the CHM files from SourceForge at: https://sourceforge.net/projects/lazarus/files/Lazarus%20Documentation / Just select the version you want, and unzip the downloaded file to the docs/chm directory in your Lazarus install. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ap3000 · 2024-11-26 18:24 Thanks - It works ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TRon · 2024-11-26 18:28 Quote from: ap3000 on November 26, 2024, 07:07:32 pmNo, I'm using the FpcUpDeluxe to install it.
