[!SEIZURE WARNING!] Lazarus/Window Maker window restoration bug lazarus / 9-Editor ---------------------------------------------------------------------- machinetched ยท 2024-01-28 11:04 Not sure if anyone's encountered rapid flashing of the Lazarus windows elsewhere, but it could be important to resolve due to the hidden dangers of epileptic seizures. I hope this is an appropriate way to shine light on this matter I have at hand. I need to show a bug that has been bugging me lately when using the very minimal and lightweight window manager called Window Maker (WMLive ver. 0.96.0-0), along with Lazarus 3.99, from the main trunk build. The video accompanying this topic speaks more than a thousand words could ever express, so please, if you could watch the different scenarios in the video where this bug occurs, it might help shed light on its specific nature. For the sake of completeness in reporting this, what happens is that the Lazarus windows jitter as they are being resized and refreshed, eventually settling down and recovering from the jittering. The most severe and frequent phenomenon occurs when the windows are hidden or minimized; then upon restoration, they tend to cycle through them rapidly. Depending on my luck that day, they eventually emerge from that frenzied state, allowing work to continue. You could either watch it on my page from an embedded player[1] (under the "Video Directory") or on YouTube[2], if you prefer it that way. Thank you for your help in this matter.
