fpcup & fpcup.ini lazarus / 8-Other ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2013-12-31 12:48 Just wanted to know about people who have modified fpcup.ini to include their own packages or enable existing packages. I'm suspecting there are not too many people who have done so... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- taazz · 2013-12-31 13:56 I have played with the ini the last time I used fpcup and I had created a couple of bat files to avoid key in to many parameters but it has been almost 8 months from the last time I used so I don't think you can count me as a user per see I guess although the 1.3 lazarus will be installed using fpcup it doesn't make sense to use nightly builds when fpcup is available. Next step is to install fpc only once for all my lazarus versions instead of one for each version and unify multiple lazarus by simple changing the config folder eg lazarus 1.2 fpc 2.6.2, lazarus 1.2 fpc 2.6.4 laz 1.2 FPC 2.7.1 set up in a single lazarus installation and 3 fpc installations the same for lazarus 1.0.10 lazarus 1.0.14 etc. As it is it requires to much disk space to have 2 versions installed having more than that will probably eat my free disk space. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mike.Cornflake · 2013-12-31 17:35 I modified the .ini to change source locations for Zeos, for a while it was stale.  (I was going to tell you honest, but someone else beat me to it :-) ).  I also remember hand adding a Lazarus label after some 1.0.x release, but stopped that as I don't actually grab older versions from SVN, only trunk.  There was another minor change (simply an experiment), but simply can't remember what it was. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2014-01-20 10:51 Thanks guys - I suppose that confirms my suspicions that editing fpcup.ini is not a popular pastime (Meanwhile, I'm working on a GUI for fpcup even though that's not my forte - have a look at the source code repository if you want to)
