How come: ANOTHER Lazarus software? lazarus / 8-Other ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Elmug · 2012-09-25 21:19 How come there's ANOTHER Lazarus software? Lazarus Form Recovery add-on for browsers, and it is a private (not free) add-on? The link: http://getlazarus.com/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2012-09-26 05:08 Why? Because the makers had a good reason for naming it that. Giving a recovery tool the name Lazarus is actually quite apt, IMO. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- TheWonderFromDownUnder · 2012-09-26 10:36 Just had a quick look at it  it clams its still under development and the copyright has not been updated since 2008 don't think it has anything to do with the Lazarus we are using and the Lazarus we are using is Free and what's in a name that' s all it is ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JD · 2012-09-26 12:04 I know about it. I've been using it for 3 years. It is just a Firefox plug-in that helps you recover the contents of your web forms if your Firefox browser suddenly crashes before you can save the data. That is why it is called Lazarus!  Your web form data is brought back to life. It is very good software. It uses an SQLite database to save the web form data. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Elmug · 2012-09-26 22:55 A good reason would be shortage of names or lack of imagination, in my way of seeing it. Also, lack of respect, or Lazarus is not getting enough publicity. Adds a few more inches to the Babel edifice.
