Google says I'm a thug lazarus / 8-Other ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2010-10-20 13:58 On LazarusBrasil site we have a webshop with some popular items. We advertise some items on AdWords. Today Google sent me an email saying that I am "violating Quality Guidelines" with these advertisings and threatens me with an exclusion of AdWords. These violations would be: * Sites of data collection suggest that the delivery of free items, etc.. In order to collect private information  * Sites arbitration without relevant and original content created for the purpose of displaying advertisements  * Affiliated sites without relevant and original content created for the purpose of driving traffic to another site with a different domain  * Sites like "Earn easy money" that make unrealistic promises  * Fraudulent Websites  * Websites that distribute malware or spyware  * Statements extremely misleading / inaccurate or unproven To what I respond: An accusation like that should be done at a police station, because then at least you would have to prove what you are saying. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mas steindorff · 2010-10-20 16:41 The more things change, the more they remain the same. At least the mob will send a real person to collect their "protection" fees ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BlueIcaro · 2010-10-20 18:06 Quote from: typo on October 20, 2010, 03:58:22 pmOn LazarusBrasil site we have a webshop with some popular items. I had a web, with publicity, a long time ago. I had a few companies of publicity, all of them, when I earn a few money (50-60 dollars, in 1997-1998), they said that I break the rules, and they didn't pay me. And all that compnaies, they were in USA, and the money was low, I didn't sued. I think, after visit your web, I think google is doing the same strategy /BlueIcaro ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2010-10-20 18:12 I have said in my email: As for me, I'm thinking that I spent a lifetime studying for being accused by a disqualified  employee from a successor to Microsoft to be a gangster. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Riccardo Giuliani · 2010-10-20 18:50 A friend of mine had similar problems always with google: the tele- struggle had been going on for a few days, luckily ended as in the best fairy tale. (but it was a struggle, even if based on a so stupid matter). Never give up! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- davect · 2010-10-21 00:15 They pulled that on me too. As I neared the $100 mark they suddenly accused me of violating the terms and did not pay me. I think it's a big scam. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2010-10-30 16:52 Google has suspended our AddWords advertisements. Here is our webshop: http://www.loja.lazarusbrasil.org/ No specific reason was presented, they just say we do not meet the sites policy. Any idea on how to solve this? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- captian jaster · 2010-10-30 17:18 Quote from: typo on October 30, 2010, 06:52:53 pmGoogle has suspended our AddWords advertisements. Take Google to court ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2010-10-30 17:37 How? It is a private decision from a private company... They even say they reserve themselves the right to not state a reason.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 99Percent · 2010-10-30 19:54 Quote from: typo on October 30, 2010, 07:37:55 pmHow? It is a private decision from a private company... They even say they reserve themselves the right to not state a reason.... Well, if the adwords generated traffic to other sites, a payment is due. Although its probably not worth it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2010-11-01 16:52 Well, I was ready to move the webshop to another place, but other nonsense happened: UOLHost ( http://www.uolhost.com.br/loja- virtual.html ) does not accept my registration because I already have an Internet domain. I hardly believed in what I was hearing, but they confirmed that. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- keithlarson · 2011-01-16 19:47 How can I avoid this problem? I'm not a "thug" and I don't want to appear like one. I know that Google is the biggest search engine out there and I don't want to be bullyed because I'm only a small fry. How can I avoid this? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2011-01-16 19:57 I don't know. They have simply excluded me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- fabienwang · 2011-01-17 00:07 always google the bad boy they're generating millions with their ads and i now understand why ---------------------------------------------------------------------- darreng33 · 2011-01-26 16:09 Google is a giant and as been mentioned a private company. When they decise they don't like you there isn't much you can do. They are as inflexible as the rockies so good luck if you think you will be able to get into a discussion. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- typo · 2011-01-27 14:22 They have said it is a final decision and have not responded anymore. I have complained about them on this site ( http://www.reclameaqui.com.br/ ) without response. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2011-02-01 21:41 Sorry ppl, I'm locking this topic. It starts to attract to many "driveby" postings, which in the past proved to be a possible source of spam.
