Lazarus and patches lazarus / 8-Other ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bart · 2010-10-02 15:51 Please dont feel offended! Is there an accepted way of informing (one of) the managers of the bugtracker, if pathces I have sent in have been lying around for several month without being picked up (either applied, dismissed or asked for feedback)? I currently have several proposed patches (for issues 15904, 15295, 16483 and 16816) in there now for 4 to 6 months. Bart ---------------------------------------------------------------------- captian jaster · 2010-10-02 15:57 Did you try emailing them first?.... Maybe they have added it just not released it...   I don't know how it works with this project..... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2010-10-02 16:20 Best is to mail a reminder on the mailing list. (In case of an obvious bigger delay, without any feedback and so on). Most developers will read here too. This kind of delay usually happens because: - no one has worked on the code in a while, so everyone would have to spend time to understand the issue, even if only to review/feedback on the patch - everyone is usually busy with something, and interrupting a work-in- progress is avoided - once a bug was seen, but not immediately acted on, it easily will be forgotten and overlooked in future (there are simply to many).
