How can I do Unix LF to Dos CR/LF textfile ? lazarus / 8-Other ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert W.B. · 2009-03-09 16:43 I'm saving a textfile i Lazarus/Pascal but, when I try to distribute it,I have to do a convert in Geany first, from Unix/LF  to Dos(Win) CR/LF.  Is there a way to do this in pascal? Can I use unix commands in Lazarus? Need help. Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bart · 2009-03-09 17:44 Possible commandline utilities (on Linux): unix2dos tofrodos xchange todos (may or may not be present in your distro) Possible other solutions: Tell win users to use a proper text editor  Provide your own utility for win users (open file in stringlist do TStringList.AdjustLineBreaks save to file) Save text with CrLF (will possibly upset linux users) Don't use textfiles (or produce them on windows), use html (every windows has IE, if not the user has removed it (tricky business) and is well capable of converting unix to dos himself) Bart ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Robert W.B. · 2009-03-09 20:15 I'm doing a soccerapp in Linux and the company(www.svenskaspel.se) can't coop with unix textfile. http://hem.bredband.net/robbanux I complain to the company but, they said they couldn't do anything about it so, that's the fu.... reason I have to do a convert ,of the textfile, to be able to, upload the textfile, to their server. I really want them to coop instead with Unix so the next time they will do an upgrade of their site,i will complain again( 1 ,2 years)
