What is the status of GTK2 lazarus / 8-Other ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Amnon82 · 2007-06-06 19:46 Well I know lazarus uses mostly gtk1. GTK1 is a little outdated in my eyes. What is the actual status on gtk2? I noticed that the IDE gets much slower in GTK2 than 1 on my system. Almost the same slow speed as using smooth-themes for gtk1. Hope there will be a speedup in this case soon ... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2007-06-07 16:45 There is detailed status information here: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/GTK2_Interface For my personal projects I use gtk2 whenever possible, but I still develop with the gtk 1 IDE. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Phil · 2007-06-07 17:59 Quote from: "sekel"There is detailed status information here: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/GTK2_Interface For my personal projects I use gtk2 whenever possible, but I still develop with the gtk 1 IDE. Did you ever find a binary installer or download? Following your link to the gtk site seems to indicate that only source code is available for gtk2 libaries: http://www.gtk.org/download/ Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2007-06-07 20:57 Quote from: "Phil"Did you ever find a binary installer or download? I would say that the lazarus wiki is probably wrong about this.
