Kamouflage - my new program for camouflaging files into imgs lazarus / 8-Other ---------------------------------------------------------------------- beli0135 · 2007-04-21 00:19 Problem sending some attachments from company, as I have? No problem... Camouflage any file into any image or other file. For now, just console. I will make GUI in some of these days. Full source. http://www.varnus.com/storage/kamouflage.tar.gz ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zorba · 2007-04-23 05:56 Thank you. Maybe you might want to include in the wiki? Reason: More stable place for it as this thread will age in time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- beli0135 · 2007-04-25 00:30 Well, thank you. I do not know. It is just a simple utility to bypass company security measures, which I don't agree with. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- RudieD · 2007-04-25 15:54 Can't ever have to much sample code. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2007-04-25 16:30 I agree with that. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- beli0135 · 2007-04-26 03:23 Then, anyone explain me how to post it on wiki, or can do it for me, if you like. code is free ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2007-04-26 08:52 Quote from: "beli0135"I do not know. It is just a simple utility to bypass company security measures, which I don't agree with. There is nothing wrong with the application per-se. Every engineer in my university builds a software capable of hiding files in images using watermarks on the first year. It´s a well known technology with useful applications. It´s nothing like a cracking software or anything like that. The use of the software to bypass company security measures is not directly connected to the software itself. In that case you are making a use of the software which the company won´t like very much =) But you could just as well use it for other uses, like hiding your data from sniffers while sending over the internet, protecting commercial secrets and things like that. Thus, I would advise saying simply that you have a software capable of camouflaging files, and avoid mentioning how it can be used to bypass company security measures =) QuoteThen, anyone explain me how to post it on wiki, or can do it for me, if you like. Please take a look at the about section here: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Main_Page Specifically the last paragraph. Take a read at the 30 seconds tutorial, and the other tutorials too if needed. Add your a link to your page here: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Components_and_Code_examples#Exampl e_programs ---------------------------------------------------------------------- beli0135 · 2007-04-27 00:44 Thank you! I have put it under "tools' ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2007-04-27 04:53 Well, the tools section is only for components. It should really be on "Examples" And also, it should not be a direct link for the download, but a link to another wikipage, like all other examples. And then on this other wiki page one would find the download link. thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- beli0135 · 2007-04-27 16:51 Be gentle, first time I use wiki... I really have to find my way around. Problem is that during week I work over 14 hrs a day (delphi programming) and I am really tired. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zorba · 2007-05-01 05:04 Thanks beli0135 for posting on the wiki. It is a little daunting first time When you first registered there then you have a page under your username (Personal page). You can edit that. You also can make a new page for Kamouflage as for example: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Kamouflage and write anything about your program there like what does someone need to compile it or which lazarus did you use and so on. Then under this page: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Components_and_Code_examples add a link to your wiki  Kamouflage page under "Examples" as it is a program built with lazarus, and others might benefit from your code. The link to download will be on the wiki Kamouflage page. Hope I didn't confuse you ---------------------------------------------------------------------- beli0135 · 2007-05-01 12:57 Thank you Zorba. No, you are not confusing. Anyways, I do not think Kamouflage deserves some page, for now. I really do not have time at the moment to do anything else, as in my company, I cannot get myself out of the work loop, so I work 14 hours a day. Then, when I come home, just a glimpse on code makes me sick. If you understand what I mean. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zorba · 2007-05-03 20:21 Quote from: "beli0135"I really do not have time at the moment to do anything else, as in my company, I cannot get myself out of the work loop, so I work 14 hours a day. It is very tiring to be in work for that long or sometimes even longer (like 16 hours). I know I haven't written a single line of code for the past 4 weeks Thanks for creating it and sharing your program and code though. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- beli0135 · 2007-05-04 23:48 You're welcome.  I hope the code will be of some use to someone, at least for learning. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- beli0135 · 2007-05-11 03:05 I have finally got time to make GUI. Now it is separated in versions for windows, for linux and source. http://www.varnus.com/site/downloads.htm
