TXMLConfig seems to be reseted every time application starts lazarus / 8-Other ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zomis · 2007-02-22 19:51 Using Lazarus 0.9.20 for Windows (will port to Linux later) I put a TXMLConfig on my form, set the filename to 'D:\a.xml' and RootName to 'test' and I added these two events: Code: [Select] procedure TForm1.Button1Click(Sender: TObject); begin   Caption:=XMLConfig1.GetValue('teststr', ''); end; procedure TForm1.Button2Click(Sender: TObject); begin   XMLConfig1.SetValue('testint', 75);   XMLConfig1.SetValue('teststr', 'testvalue');   XMLConfig1.SetValue('path/slash', 'slashdot');   XMLConfig1.SetValue('path/slash/slash2', 'slashme');   XMLConfig1.Flush; end; When pressing Button2 and restarting my application, Button1 gives me an empty caption. Pressing Button2 and then Button1 without restarting gives me the caption 'testvalue' as expected. D:\a.xml contains the following, after pressing Button2: Code: [Select]         I've tried all combinations of the StartEmpty and UseEscaping properties. None worked. What's wrong?? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tortho · 2007-02-27 12:22 Did you try: Caption:=XMLConfig1.GetValue('test/teststr', ''); or Caption:=XMLConfig1.GetValue('test' +'teststr', ''); I'm not an expert, but have it like that in a test thing i did once.. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zomis · 2007-02-27 19:53 I tried that, and as I expected it didn't work. Could you show me all your code of your XML testing project? Do you use Lazarus in Windows or Linux? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zomis · 2007-03-15 20:43 Reported to the bugtracker http://www.freepascal.org/mantis/view.php?id=8529
