GTK2 lazarus / 8-Other ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JimBodkins · 2006-11-08 21:33 How is the development of GTK2 interface coming? (It has issues - pre 20 at least). I would like to use it for look and feel reasons (customers are like that - appearance matters ). Jim ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2006-11-08 22:09 There were lot´s of bug fixes recently. I would say 90% of the programs should work with it now. Just try to recompile your software for Gtk 2 and give us feedback about how it worked for you. For using Lazarus IDE with Gtk 2, all crashes were solved, but there are still some annoying bugs. Nevertheless, it works OK. You can also use Gtk 1 IDE to produce Gtk 2 software. If you don´t know how, just ask. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JimBodkins · 2006-11-08 22:17 I rebuilt the ide for gtk2 and set compiler options for a project to gtk2. Several things. The ide forms (compiler options) aligns controls incorrectly. The compiled ap miscreates/draws some controls (like the dateedit on misc loses its button when placed on a page or panel). I rebuilt the ide back to gtk. Returned the compiler option for the ap to gtk and built it successfully. As a test (after reading the above post) I at this point reset the compiler option for that ap to gtk2 and attempted to rebuild and it generated a stream error on a form. This is FC5 (updated) and lazarus 20. I havent looked too closely yet. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- JimBodkins · 2006-11-10 23:33 An additional comment ... 20 doesnt seem to want to rebuild attrgrid (a package referenced in your bugzilla area)
