How to place transparent TPanel? lazarus / 8-Other ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Onjahyr-BR · 2006-09-12 11:59 Hi, How to place transparent TPanel? Tks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Onjahyr-BR · 2006-09-12 18:04 It has how create transparent TPanel? how? user can see the colors of the components, but he cannot have access ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CCRDude · 2006-09-12 18:12 Could it be that you forgot to take your medication today? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Onjahyr-BR · 2006-09-12 18:17 you it did not understand, reads: Panel1.enabled:=False: In Delphi, the components it does not intervene with the colors. In Lazarus, the components of inside they had been transformed for the gray. Example: Checkbox inside of the TPanel (in Delphi) continued with its property color without alteration. in Lazarus became gray. then t has how create transparent TPanel? how? user can see the colors of the components, but he cannot have access. I not speak english, sorry. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CCRDude · 2006-09-12 18:20 What has enabled or not enabled to do with transparency? It's quite useful that components get grey - that gives the user a hint that they're disabled. In Delphi, he wouldn't know and get confused. Do you want components to be colered but not enabled? That would be quite against the improved userfriendlyness of Lazarus And it has nothing to do with transparency - transparency is for showing what's below, but the panel is below the controls, it's not above them. The controls are greyed because they're disabled, so the greying is probably in the controls, and not in the panel at all. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Onjahyr-BR · 2006-09-12 18:34 Calm! - I have a project. - student of a school go answer with one X. - After click, controls must be incapacitated, but the colors must to be without gray in the controls. I go to use green (true) and red (false) and the student cannot clicked with mouse ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2006-09-12 21:10 OK, What CCRDude told is IMO the correct behaviour. When controls are disabled, they get grey. And indeed, delphi doesn't do that, and from a UI design pov. it is annoying/confusing. The user cannot see that it cannot click items. So you wonder what is going on. For a good design you have to desable all controls as well. IMO the delphi behaviour is anoying. Now back to your problem. You want to keep the colors but the user cannot click them anymore (how do you give the feedback ?) What you could do is in the onclick event check a boolean if the user is allowed to click, and if not, simple exit the event. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Onjahyr-BR · 2006-09-12 21:40 this exactly! tks  ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Onjahyr-BR · 2006-09-13 02:53 SUCESS.................... tks all (http://www.abbm-pb.org.br/linux/sucess.jpg) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2006-09-13 12:09 In this case you can also use a checkbox without text and put a label next to it. Then disable (or hide ?)  the checkboxes. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Onjahyr-BR · 2006-09-13 15:11 This that I made. CheckBox without text and put a label next to it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2006-09-14 08:53 problem solved :-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Onjahyr-BR · 2006-09-14 14:17 yes
