If you are developing Windows programs you may be interested in my
add-in tool for Lazarus that enables you to easily create resources
containing an application icon, version information and an XP
manifest, which can then be included in a Windows executable file. It
is called Resource Manager and it can be downloaded from

Hi,

I have a questions to this tool: Works it on Laz 0.9.11?
I added the line {$R *.res} in the .lpr file and try to compile. But
an error occurs. Can you help?

Well, this looks quite some basic still, but if you put some more work
into it, it'll rock
I miss custom fields for the version info, for example.
And most important: add multilingual version resources! That's a
feature not even the Borland IDE has as of now.

I don't know what to say... I just tried to add the line "{$R *.res}"
again... and today it compiles. But now I can't start my app because I
have a problem with database (forums->databases->database app crashes
on 0.9.11->0.9.12)

I will write a test-program soon :-)

Well, the source code is there, and its GPL, so if anyone wants to add
extra functionality, they are welcome to do so.
