Please help, app created in Lazarus doesn't work on BLFS lazarus / 8-Other ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nathanieljp · 2005-11-20 17:49 Hello everybody I hope someone can help me with a (little?) problem i have: I installed Lazarus on Fedora Core 4 and it didn't find the interface unit and had various other problems, so i installed Slackware 10 and it works great My problem is that after i compiled an application in slackware (and it worked) i copied it accross to my Linux From Scratch (with Beyond Linux From Scratch) distribution and the application opens up but it is resized and small (and you cannot resize it or maximize it) this has been annoying me for about a week, i have searched google and reinstalled lots of packages (GTK, GCC, etc) and the think doesn't seem to want to work properly   If anyone has had this problem and found a solution (on LFS or another distro) please help! Is it possible to be a configuration error? X window or something? My Desktop works fine but my application and Lazarus doesn't work. If its of any use, Lazarus gives this: TApplication.IconChanged - TODO: convert this message..no implementation in gtk or win32 Note: environment config file not found - using defaults Gtk-WARNING ***: invalid cast from (NULL) pointer to `GtkObject' [TMainIDE.Destroy] A [TMainIDE.Destroy] B -> inherited Destroy...TMainIDE [TMainIDE.Destroy] END [FORMS.PP] ExceptionOccurred    Sender=EAccessViolation    Exception=Access violation    Stack trace:    $00000000 TApplication.HandleException Access violation    Stack trace:    $00000000 An error message is shown (again small, not able to resize and i can't read it) - Press Enter {another lot of errors} Sorry for writing an essay   Thanks in advance. I re-built it and it works after 5 days and it was that simple. Nathaniel JP
