Porting to Skyos lazarus / 8-Other ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GregV · 2004-08-30 02:40 hi i was wondering if you could port this to skyos. www.skyos.org greg ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2004-08-30 07:14 I checked the web site. skyos seems to have a gtk port, that is a good thing. Does fpc run on skyos? If not, fpc (www.freepascal.org) has to be ported to skyos,  before lazarus can be ported. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2004-08-30 12:29 Looks like a nice OS. I'll have to try it someday ---------------------------------------------------------------------- stt · 2006-02-04 16:57 FPC 2.0.0 was completely ported to SkyOS. Perhaps someone would like to port Lazarus to SkyOS. That would be very nice! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-02-04 18:28 Unfortunaltely the diffs for the port never got it to SVN. We need those changes so we can generate a Makefile supporting SkyOS. Further whith those changes we can keep it uptodate. Please ask Robert if he will provide the changes to the FPC team. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- stt · 2006-02-05 00:25 Someone on the SkyOS forums gave me this link. http://www.skyos.org/software/fpc.zip (41MB) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2006-02-06 09:48 I'll have a look (/me = weus) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-02-07 05:11 SkyOs is not a free OS, and not Open source,  may ReactOS (www.reactos.org) is a better choice. Reactos is compatible with Windows Xp/2000 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-02-07 09:53 Quote from: "Anonymous"SkyOs is not a free OS, and not Open source,  may ReactOS (www.reactos.org) is a better choice. Reactos is compatible with Windows Xp/2000 You know, a kernel doesn't have to be open source to develop for ir. There is a very good SDK that contains everything you need. And if you run into missing functions, Robert will be happy to add it. And if you didn't notice, ReactOS is having some legal trouble with their open source and will be auditing big parts of the code. This might slow dowd their development. Darkness ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2006-02-07 10:55 besides ReactOS is win2000 compatible, so there isn't much to be done for.
