Porting gpgme.pas from GNU Pascal to FPC? lazarus / 62-General ---------------------------------------------------------------------- snorkel · 2016-03-12 16:11 Any FPC guys think this may be possible? http://www.gnu-pascal.de/contrib/nicola/gpgme.pas I took a look at it but it uses GPC.pas and some of the stuff in there does not look familiar to me, like type   VoidGpgmeCtx        = restricted Void; and I don't see where it's referencing the gpgme.dll anywhere.  I guess it's possible it does not even work on GNU pascal. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2016-03-13 02:01 Quote from: snorkel on March 12, 2016, 05:11:40 pmAny FPC guys think this may be possible? Why not? Quote from: snorkel on March 12, 2016, 05:11:40 pmI took a look at it but it uses GPC.pas and some of the stuff in there does not look familiar to me, like type   VoidGpgmeCtx        = restricted Void; http://www.gnu-pascal.de/gpc/Restricted-Types.html FPC doesn't implement ISO Extended Pascal, so restricted types are not supported. Simply use macro to map that to empty string, such a type only restricts certain operation on the underlying type, nothing else featurewise. Quote from: snorkel on March 12, 2016, 05:11:40 pmand I don't see where it's referencing the gpgme.dll anywhere.  I guess it's possible it does not even work on GNU pascal. There's no need. Both: Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i external nameand Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i external 'libname' nameare supported in both compilers. With the former, you don't hardcode the library name and must supply it to the linker manually. Another thing to consider, Void is a built-in type in GPC, which semantically equivalent to untyped in FPC, which is valid only for parameters but requires modifier (const/var/constref) to be present . No idea if it's allowed other than for parameter type in GPC, but if yes, FPC doesn't have equivalent implementation. Such a type is less likely to be a value, because it's unclear what the value is, therefore untyped pointer might be able to replace it. No guarantee, though.
