Lazarus Save-As Unit Path lazarus / 6-IDE-CodeTools ---------------------------------------------------------------------- McCorder ยท 2010-10-02 21:18 Hi, Not sure if this is a recognized bug or not, so I thought I would ask first This is in the latest release just now (Help|About says 0.9.28.2). On Windows - windows 7 for full info. My project is in the normal My Documents folder (which is physically C:\Users\\Documents\Dev\Lazarus\). I created a new application. I then selected Save All from the file menu. I then created a project folder (in the Lazarus folder above) and then created a Source sub folder. I saved Unit1 as MainForm in a Forms sub folder of the Source folder. And then I saved the project into the Source folder. When I build I get an error stating that the MainForm file cannot be found. Of course it can, I can open it in the Project Inspector. It gets frustrating - I think about bending my monitor so Lazarus can see it and go 'oh yes, there it is' But instead I take a look at a similar Delph project I create a note that the paths in the main .DPR project file use relative paths - relative to the location of the project file. So I try it and change uses ... MainForm, ... to uses ... MainForm in 'Forms\MainForm.pas', ... and it builds. So I think there is a bug in that when saving the project file the paths of associated files are not saved correctly.
