Delphi project converter and FPC resources

With the new FPC ability to use Delphi style resources, would Delphi
project converter be extended to use it as well? That is, it no longer
deletes ($R *.dfm} or {$R *.xfm} and generates initialization section
with {$I *.lrs}.

How would the converter distinguish between older Delphi Compiled
projects and ones compiled with the new .rc file?

Using the fact that to convert a Delphi project correctly, where we
have to use "New project from file" and choose the .dpr and save it
before doing the conversion, the converter should check Project
Options->Miscellanous->Resource style of project. If it uses lrs, then
the old method will do. Otherwise, it's the new one. Visible?

Delphi project conversion now works without doing first "New project
from file".
Please try the latest trunk version. It is also more automatic, not so
many question dialogs opened.
There is one initial dialog for conversion settings. I added now an
option to choose between new FPC resource and old lrs resource. It is
not implemented yet. From those settings only backup is implemented
now.

Juha,

There is a problem with new converter. In some stage of conversion of
some large project, it close Lazarus from some unknown reasons and
then .dpr etc are lost.

They are many problems still. :-)
I get many errors, too, but Lazarus never died for them.
Later I could use your project as a test case if the problem still
remains.
