How to disable JEDI tool? lazarus / 6-IDE-CodeTools ---------------------------------------------------------------------- User137 · 2010-02-14 00:23 By default JEDI code converting tool is enabled from menu and by Ctrl+D. Nice idea and all but whenever i misclick of Ctrl+C i get *boom* all source gone wide and bad. I tried removing or changing the key config for that but after i restart Lazarus its still back to Ctrl+D. Can i completely remove the tool somehow, or at least change it? Format i like most is Code: [Select]if ... then begin end else if ... then begin end; instead of end else if ... then begin ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zoran · 2010-02-14 09:18 I don't know if you can turn it off. You can, however, do this: Go to Enviroment->Options. In options dialog, on left side pane select this node: JCF Format Settings -> Clarify -> Line Breaking -> Blocks. Now, set everything to never (except perhaps Block without begin, which maybe better set to Leave as is). Now try Ctrl+D and see how your code is formatted. EDIT: I think that you should have new 0.9.29 snapshot to do this. I don't remember having this option while I was using 0.9.28. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- User137 · 2010-02-14 11:01 I have Win32 version of Lazarus 0.9.28.2 beta, so i guess there's no helping unless i can find way to install new one for Win32... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Martin_fr · 2010-02-14 12:48 About removing jcf from the ctrl-d mapping, see here: http://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=14564 Seems it has been fixed after 0.9.28.2 was released => so you need a daily snapshot or the svn version. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zoran · 2010-02-14 13:52 Furthermore, if you install new snapshot, you can also adjust this tool to put "then begin", "end else begin" and similar on the same line when formating your code (the way I described above). You might choose not to disable it then. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zoran · 2010-02-14 13:56 Quote from: User137 on February 14, 2010, 12:01:59 pmI have Win32 version of Lazarus 0.9.28.2 beta, so i guess there's no helping unless i can find way to install new one for Win32... Unless your internet connection is very slow, I don't see what else can be standing in your way.
