Can I Activate TopLine Options without Mouse?

I would like to activate the top line options in Lazarus (such as
"File", "Search", etc.) without using the mouse to click on them.  Is
there a way to do that presently?  I have tried Ctrl and Alt without
apparent success.  Is this a feature of Lazarus, or is there something
in my Linux (Suse 10 and 11) that I must configure related to focus?

Thank you.  {I have finally given up trying to use Kylix, although
there are many things about it I liked - and switching over completely
to Lazarus.}
