Ctrl+Shift+U and Ctrl+Shift+I keys from Delphi\Builder lazarus / 6-IDE-CodeTools ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Sagrer · 2007-04-29 11:36 In Delphi and Builder's editors - it exists a helpful feature - if select a part of code, then press Ctrl+Shift+U - all selection will be moved to 2 spaces left, Ctrl+Shift+I - to 2 spaces right.... for example: Code: [Select] If a<>b then begin   a := c;   //ddd   //bbb - may be comments, may be code... just a lot of strings...   //ddd end; if i add this: Code: [Select] If a<>b then begin   if a = c then begin     ShowMessage('a equals with c, no need to change!');   end   else begin   a := c;   //ddd   //bbb - may be comments, may be code... just a lot of strings...   //ddd   end; end; so... something must be changed: Code: [Select] If a<>b then begin   if a = c then begin     ShowMessage('a equals with c, no need to change!');   end   else begin     a := c;     //ddd     //bbb - may be comments, may be code... just a lot of strings...     //ddd   end; end; - it can be done by setting cursor on first symbol of a line (for example a := c; ), then press 2 times, than set cursor to next line and do that again (as must be in Lazarus 0.9.22), or it can be done by selecting all this lines and pressing Ctrl+Shift+I - as in Delphi. I know, that this feature is already exists in SynEdit (i used it )... but i can't find it in EditorOptions->Hotkeys in Lazarus. May it be added into any of next versions? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2007-04-29 12:26 If I understand you correctly, then this is +I and +U in Lazarus, so easier than in Delphi :-). Or in the menu Edit -> Indent Selection and Unindent selection. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Zaher · 2007-04-29 22:17 I prefer the TAB and Shift+TAB in lazarus ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CCRDude · 2007-04-30 15:39 Well, try to press TAB in Lazarus when you've got text selected you want to indent. If you like that TAB just removed that code, well, but I doubt that has anything to do with this question about indenting ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2007-04-30 17:44 CCRDude, I guess you don't have the "Tabs indents block" general editor option checked. :-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CCRDude · 2007-04-30 20:30 Oh, I apologize, I never knew about that one. I guess I reinstall too often (with cleaning the old folder beforehand) so I don't really took looks at the options. Now that really looks useful, avoids mistakenly deleting code! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- antonio · 2007-05-01 09:50 I don't reinstall so many times, but never knew that one as well...
