Undo changes by Alt-Backspace lazarus / 6-IDE-CodeTools ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sasa · 2006-03-14 00:51 Very useful feature in Delphi (currrently not implemented in Lazarus) is shortcut Alt-Backspace to Undo changes. Sasa ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2006-03-14 10:25 Undo is default assigned to Ctrl-Z, if you want Alt-Backspace as alternative, go to: Environment -> Editor Options -> Key Mappings -> Command commands -> Undo Click undo and enter the shortcut or alternate shortcut. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- sasa · 2006-03-14 14:56 Added secondary shortcut is disfunctional (Lazarus SVN revision 8937). Unlike previous, added alternate shortcut is fully functional. Since Alt-Backspace is often used than Ctrl-Z, consideration to add this shortcut by side of default Ctrl-Z setting is recommended. Alternatively, new Scheme entry with shortcuts to emulate Delphi editor can be also considered. Undo suggestion: Modifying undo/redo to revert block of actions (Delphi functionality). I.e., group of typed text, cursor moving, inserting etc. This is very useful after extensive changes on source only in purpose of testing functinality, after which original code should be returned. In that case, undo text letter by letter is extremely slow.
