menu-> best and slowest build lazarus / 6-IDE-CodeTools ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Flo · 2005-06-23 08:19 It would be nice if there was an option "best and slowest build" in the menu project. If i click on this menu item all compiler options which create a enduser friendly (small but also fast) file. If nessesary may be for windows user strip.exe is called to reduce the exe file. This would be a great feature. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc · 2005-06-23 09:04 nicer would be if you could define your own set of build options and name them. On a build you can choose   build -> "my release settings" or   build -> "with a load of debug info" etc ---------------------------------------------------------------------- AndreasBerger · 2005-06-23 20:43 Even a simple option to build the debug version or the release version would be nice. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2005-08-22 12:36 this may require setting up two types of units in fpc, ones for release (smart) and ones for debug(static) - e.g. a lot of duplication. i think the fpc config can have different unit paths for release/debug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-02-22 16:32 I would like to see a build option to compile and not link (to help isolate syntax errors). The Quick Syntax check is inadequate. It would also be useful if the run option was aware of a recent make and did not relink the app if the sources or object files had not changed like Delphi does. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tech-pro · 2006-02-22 18:28 Quote from: "Anonymous"It would also be useful if the run option was aware of a recent make and did not relink the app if the sources or object files had not changed like Delphi does. Project Options -> Miscellaneous -> Uncheck "Always build even if nothing changed." ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Anonymous · 2006-02-22 19:46 Did that. It still links.
