Feature request: Memory leak checker lazarus / 6-IDE-CodeTools ---------------------------------------------------------------------- IgD · 2005-02-13 17:46 With Delphi, I had worked with a cool memory leak checker called SleuthQA that was made by a now defunct company (TurboPower).  Could something like this be added and integrated into the Lazarus IDE?  This would be great for development of applications and also development of Lazarus/FPC! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2005-02-14 08:43 I don't know SleuthQA, but fpc has a memleak dectection unit, called heaptrc. In lazarus, go to Project -> Compiler Options -> Linking -> Use Heaptrc Unit. Run your program and at the end of run-time some statistics are show. It might be a good idea to turn of Win32 Gui Application in the same tab, if you have a lot of memleaks. I advice to turn on line info, because that helps locating the memleak. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- skywriter · 2007-11-09 07:29 What did you mean " turn of Win32 Gui Application in the same tab"? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Vincent Snijders · 2007-11-09 08:25 Uncheck the option on the linking tab (-WG). Otherwise you get a lot of message boxes at program end.
