OpenOffice Draw Document from Canvas lazarus / 5-Lazarus Extra Components ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ALB42 · 2009-07-25 20:56 Hallo! i wrote a class to write Openoffice ODG File from a Canvas, various operation are supported see Manual.txt in the archive http://www.alb42.de <- ODG Writer Class for FPC Features:     * Basic Operation of TCanvas are supported (Line, Rectangle, FillRect, Ellipse, Arc, Chord, RadialPie, Textout, StretchDraw, Draw, Pixels)     * Various styles (line width/line colors/dash/fill colors/Fonts type/font size) are supported.     * Draw/Stretchdraw copied as pictures to the odg file.     * Items can be grouped. (means this items are grouped in Openoffice)     * simple example is included currently it only supports writing, as long as my project (Apace see website) only need a write support. But i think its interresting for more people out there, so i announce it here. I'm very interresting about Feedback. Ciao P.S. anyone knows why the ZIP files (with the zip unit) are not compressed? only packed together? or why the TZipFile class produce not-openable ZIPs (not openable in Winzip/Winar/7Zip and as ODG in Openoffice)? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- felipemdc · 2009-08-08 12:56 ODG is actually a vectorial graphics format and Free Pascal now has an official vectorial graphics library, FPVectorial (available in svn Free Pascal), you could also write an export module for this library (if you are interrested we can then talk more by e-mail): http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/fpvectorial The advantage is that this library supports multiple inputs and outputs, so by writing an export module for it you can also convert from any of the currently supported vectorial formats (currently reads PDF and G-Code). At the moment it supports lines and bezier curves in paths, which is enough for any drawing, but we could also add generation of circles and texts to make it easier to generate images from code.
