Install new packages in IDE

Hello.
I am trying to istall same packages into IDE of lazarus 0.9.26 for
win32. The packages are fshcomp and richview; i follow the
instructions:
Code: [Select]Installation

    * Create the directory lazarus/components/fshcomp
    * On this directory, unzip the files from zip file
    * Open lazarus
    * Open the package fshcomp.lpk with Component/Open package file
(.lpk)
    * (Click on Compile only if you don't want to install the
component into the IDE)
    * Click on Install
but, after clicking on install, i obtain a question: the istallation
of the package needs a rebuild; do you want to rebuild lazarus now? i
answer yes, but, in both cases, i obtain two error messages, and the
new components do not appear in the ide ( also after running lazarus
again ).
Can you help me please?

Can you give more detail on the error messages you are getting ? -

try to copy all units into fshcomp directory. if not write the
displayed error messages

after i click on install ,a message says that the installation require
a rebuild of Lazarus, and a rebooting of lazarus; the same message
asks me if i want a rebuild of lazarus immediately, and my answer is
yes.
Then there is this error message:
Code: [Select]Installation failed.
The package fsh... has not been compiled. Do you remove it from
installation list?
My answer is yes but i obtain the same result with a no.
Now in the window of the editor there is the file sreditcur.pas , and
a line is underlined, the line
ControlCanvas.Color:= Color;
the message of the compiler says: Error:Identifier idents no member
Color;

What's your opinion???

first

compile button, then install button

It looks like the package you dwonloaded may be broken, try download a
newer version (or if you have the latest version, try an older).

It may also be an incompatibility, that the package only works under
older versions of Lazarus.

The error you copied
ControlCanvas.Color:= Color;
Error:Identifier idents no member Color;

Assuming that ControlCanvas is a TCanvas, then Color does not exist on
this class. (Maybe it has at some point in the past, I don't know)

It may help to contact the author of the package.

It's the only version i found on sourceforge.
