Dose Lazarus implement such a component or at least will ??

TWinPCap = a wrapper component for the WinPCap library at
http://www.winpcap.org/

This control is far outside the scope of what the Lazarus team
provides: The lazarus component library - LCL, which is a library for
developing graphical interfaces.

Developers of software useful for lazarus users can however post it in
the lazarus-code and code repository (ccr). There are lot's of
examples here:

If you have the delphi code for this component it should be trivial to
adapt it to Lazarus.

If you can't do the work of converting the component or creating a new
one you can contract someone to do it.

It's the kind of thing that doesn't lend itself to a component, but
classes may be more useful overall

pcap is already available in FPC 2.2.0+. Just "uses pcap".

TWinPCap is probably just an OOP wrapper around that, if the delphi
version is "open" we could just take it and tweak it to use our pcap
header translation.
