FPSpreadsheet Install Correct?

I have recently installed Lasarus and the Spreadsheet component, I
think it was successful.

I have tried to begin using the Spreadsheet bu have found that

if I simply add a sWorksheetGrid and compile I see a non fixed grid 26
cols (A-Z) x 100 rows

if I then set ColCount to 4 & RowCount to 6 in the Object inspector
and compile I still see a cell non fixed grid 26 cols (A-Z) x 100 rows

if use the code sWorksheetGrid.ColCount:=4 & sWorksheetGrid.RowCount:=
6 in a procedure FormCreate I do get non fixed grid 3 cols (A-Z) x 5
rows.

Is there something wrong with the installation or am I doing something
incorrectly?
(I have for some time used Delphi and know the two pieces of software
are not identical.)

(Using Windows7 Uptodate, Lasarus ver 1.6 SVN Rev 51630,
laz_fspspreadsheet_visual 1.6.2)

Your installation is correct. What you observe is simply a bug which
was fixed recently in the trunk version of fpspreadsheet.

To get trunk, use svn, or download the snapshot from
https://sourceforge.net/p/lazarus-
ccr/svn/HEAD/tree/components/fpspreadsheet/ - but note that the
snapshot contains all the other projects of Lazarus-CCR as well - you
only unpack the fpspreadsheet folder. Or wait a few weeks, I am
planning a release of stable version 1.8 soon.
