fpspreadsheet: column index of TCell

In fpspreadsheet.pas, the TCell is declared as:
Code: [Select]type
  TCell = record
    Col: Byte; // zero-based
    Row: Cardinal; // zero-based
    ContentType: TCellContentType;    
   //....
Is it intentional, or a left-over from previous versions, that the
column index is declared only as a byte? Since there are spreadsheet
formats with more than 256 columns, "Col" should be declared ar
Cardinal like "Row".
