Making background tasks (servive, ...)

Hi,
Does LAMW allow creating background tasks at the moment ? So that way
even if then application is terminated it can answer to some events. I
have projects that would need that kind of functionality :
- Noticing my computer of clipboard changes / remotely setting the
keyboard content
- Receiving / sending SMS from the computer
