how to run builded fpc program from android terminal lazarus / 43-Android ---------------------------------------------------------------------- josip · 2015-08-24 19:54 I downloaded last sources and build fpc cross compiler for android target by wiki instructions... http://wiki.freepascal.org/Android I can compile my free pascal program without errors. There is no GUI (only WriteLn output). It is working on Win/Linux from cmd line. Is there anywhere detailed description how to create apk and execute program by using android terminal? BTW, I tried laz4android example, and it is working just fine, but I don't need any GUI. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- engkin · 2015-08-25 00:35 I'm a Windows person, so this is just my guess. 1-Copy the file to your Android device. 2-Change its permissions to be executable (755?). 3-Run it from Android Terminal using the full path of the executable. It might not work if it depends on a library that you don't have, or not in the path. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2015-08-25 05:01 If you want it as apk, it won't be that simple. You will need a terminal emulator and embeds (including initializing and connecting it to your program) it along with your program. This is what PascalGUI does. Currently there's no automated way of doing this in any existing Android solution with Lazarus/FPC. Go with PascalGUI if you want. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- josip · 2015-08-31 17:39 There are many web pages with explanation how to run program on Android but non of them works, on emulator or device. Program can be copied to sd, but can not run from sd, and can not be copied to root because of read only. Program has some cmd line input arguments, so it is not possible to use it with PascalGUI. Also compiling is failing with PascalGUI due missing some lib functions. For me is OK if user need to start terminal first, and then run program from terminal.
