is it possibly - FPC library link with android app lazarus / 43-Android ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Collier · 2015-02-18 07:45 Hi, Is it possible for arduino developers using non-lazarus development tools (maybe android BASIC?) to link their code to a lazarus generated library? My library doesn't have any GUI features, just functions for crunching data. I've used libraries on other platforms, but don't know enough about android environment. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2015-02-18 08:36 Certainly, just use system.loadLibrary on Java, but you need to know how Java calls native library. On other languages, check out their respective documentation. Note FPC specific issues as well: name mangling, calling convention, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Collier · 2015-02-18 09:54 Ok sounds good, I guess I should generate a simple echo_string() function in a library to test with. Do I build a cross compiler for my existing lazarus system and compile for the android target hardware, never done that before but will try - or do I need to download lazarus & android development system (I gave that a go last year and need to re-install), thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2015-02-18 10:00 Quote from: Michael Collier on February 18, 2015, 10:54:22 amDo I build a cross compiler for my existing lazarus system and compile for the android target hardware, never done that before but will try - or do I need to download lazarus & android development system (I gave that a go last year and need to re-install), thanks Up to you, but I go with the first path. Good for learning and you know exactly what happens under the hood so you don't just complain if it doesn't work since you build and configure it yourself.
