Possibility is always there, but I don't think borrowing from LCL can be done that simple because fpGUI and LCL has different structure. Basically, you need to add another corelib backend and implement what existing backends do. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Blestan · 2015-01-06 10:31 Ok!  I will take a look on the code ... My idea is that fpgui is maybe a better choice for mobile dev. this will break aprat from the hole bloat inherited from the delphi paradigm ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2015-01-06 10:45 Quote from: Blestan on January 06, 2015, 11:31:13 amOk!  I will take a look on the code ... It has native look and feel and the resulting binary is not too bloated. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred vS · 2015-01-06 11:02 QuoteAFAIK fpGUI only has GDI and X11 backend, it won't run on Android unless you have X11 installed. Hum, i was thinking that Android uses X11 (if not what does it use ?) Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Blestan · 2015-01-06 11:09 And what about OpenGL backend ... this will be even better and less work to port to iOS ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Leledumbo · 2015-01-06 14:44 Quote from: Fred vS on January 06, 2015, 12:02:06 pmHum, i was thinking that Android uses X11 (if not what does it use ?) Found a quite good one (too much if I write one myself): http://blog.imgtec.com/news/learning-about-the-android-graphics- subsystem If you're too lazy to read, the conclusion: it has its own graphics stack, independent of existing solutions including X11 Quote from: Blestan on January 06, 2015, 12:09:11 pmAnd what about OpenGL backend ... this will be even better and less work to port to iOS Same, whatever backend you choose, if it doesn't exist yet, somebody has to create it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Blestan · 2015-01-06 14:58 Ok Good i will write it fpgui has his own event loop and does the drawing it self, customdrawn uses lazarus event loop and is using some sort of canvas to draw on it and does not depend on the system windowing system so i supose that i have to "extract" the adnroid interface code from CD and integrate it in fpgui let's start ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred vS · 2015-01-06 18:33 Quoteso i supose that i have to "extract" the adnroid interface code from CD and integrate it in fpgui let's start And you have your first fan => me.  I am extremely interested... So, how did it go? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- RAW · 2017-11-17 21:56 Sounds interesting... And just in case it won't work you can try KOTLIN, they say it's better than JAVA... the new JAVA 2.0  [Android Studio + KOTLIN]
