MySQL database connection

Hi,

I am new at Lazarus, FreePascal and this Forum.

I have created a small Android app with Lazarus. Now I would like to
establish a connection to a MySQL database with this app. Is this in
general possible? Maybe with Zeos or a similar tool?

I already searched but found nothing useful.

About a year a go I posted a similar question at the WinCE section of
this forum, and one of the answers was - use ODBC !  I never did tried
this but it could work.

You'll need MySQL client libraries installed.

Thanks for your answers.

Which MySQL Library do I need for Android? I have already tested the
Libraries from the C Connector. In Lazarus it worked so far but on
Android the App crashes at the start.

coul you solve the problem to connect mysql uner andoid using your
lazarus-framework ?
last week i tryed the same but i think i must have a libmysqlclient.so
like using linux (i did there and had to change the libmysqlclient.so
to the correct version) like under windows libmysqlclient.dll (i did
in folder of exe)

do you know how to compile the c code foer arm-cpu ? oder do you have
a solution today ?
