Developing in Windows for Android lazarus / 43-Android ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Nicola Gorlandi · 2013-07-18 13:34 I'm trying to write an Android application using Lazarus on Windows. If I use Code Typhoon (4.40) I can deploy the .so inside the Android emulator but when I click on the form (or over its components) the application close. Someone told me: do not use Code Typhoon, use Lazarus and Cross compile. I try to follow what in http://wiki.freepascal.org/Android but I think that this is a little bit obsolete. I would like to know which FPC version I have to compile for Android and what FPC version I have to use to compile it or, that's sound better, an esay guide.. Thank's you ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2013-07-18 13:40 The Lazarus/FPC wiki pages have all info about needed compilers etc If that's too complicated for you (and looking at your post it seems likely), I'd suggest you use a ready-made solution like CodeTyphon. If CodeTyphon doesn't work for you, please ask on their forum for support. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zariq · 2013-07-18 14:16 Quote from: nicolagorlandi on July 18, 2013, 03:34:56 pm I can deploy the .so Do you mean apk? Use ddms in android ndk/sdk folders to see what errors you get. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Nicola Gorlandi · 2013-07-18 14:25 Yes I mean apk ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Derit · 2013-07-18 15:56 you have to use sdk developer for android ---------------------------------------------------------------------- mbdev · 2013-07-18 18:02 Did you tried this http://mbs-software.org/articles.php ? There is a article how to setup Codetyphon, create a application and generate the apk library ---------------------------------------------------------------------- nsunny · 2013-07-18 20:24 Although a bit off topic, because this thread is about Codetyphon but I can't help but bring this up... I have created the APK from lclandroid project with Lazarus 1.0.10, Ant Debugger, WinXP, with the help of this wiki. I can run it quite well on Android 2.2 (API level , but it crashes on other API level Androids (I have tested on API level 17, Android 4.2). It is almost useless if it only works on one Android version. I have posted about it in this thread. But unfortunately I got no answers. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Nicola Gorlandi · 2013-07-18 21:06 I'm using SDK developer for Android. I've tried the article in mps-software.org but following the step but the Pre-compiled FPC files are obsolete. The problem is that the apk generated by me is about 800 kb while the apk that works (found in this forum) is about 1500 Kb. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jmpessoa · 2013-07-18 21:14 From this thread: Lazarus1.1 For Android (FPC2.7.1 http://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,20918.msg121775.ht ml#msg121775 You can get here: https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=89ae6b50650182c6&id=89AE6B50650182C6%21 149  Anyone tried it? Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- avra · 2013-07-19 08:06 If all else fails for you, then take a look at this alternative: http://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,19302.0.html. It is Pascal4Android which uses FreePascal JVM compiler. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- zariq · 2013-07-19 14:57 Quote from: jmpessoa on July 18, 2013, 11:14:31 pm Anyone tried it? Tried it yesterday.  To compile androidlcltest had to change the target from Linux to android and deselect -WR(relocatable) option under code generation. didn't have to change paths to android ndk / sdk which I have installed in c:\android. Also the "so" extention is not added, so need to rename the file or add it in the project options. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jmpessoa · 2013-07-19 15:43 Thank you zarik! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Nicola Gorlandi · 2013-07-20 16:00 Thank's you guys !!! I finally can run Lazarus test Application on Android.
