Android Virtual Image raises an Error lazarus / 43-Android ---------------------------------------------------------------------- eMarc · 2012-09-06 10:17 Hi. I have installed the Android Virtual Image, but when I start its Lazarus, it raises this error : Compiler "/usr/bin/fpc" does not support target arm-linux Doesn't that come preconfigured in the Virtual Image ?. It seems that it should be preconfigured, it doesn't make sens to make a virtual image and force us to finish its configuration. Have I an error in my virtual image or I really have to setup cross- compilation ?. If the latest, what how-to have I to follow to accomplish that ?. This one ? http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Setup_Cross_Compile_For_ ARM#How_To_setup_Lazarus.2FFPC_for_arm-linux_cross_compiling. It doesn't looks quite right because this how-to was designed for a Maemo target (Nokia N900), and because it haves version requirements different (2.2.4) than FPC version in the Android Virtual Image (2.4.4). By the way, ¿ do you expect to build an updated Lazarus 1.0 Android virtual image ?. Thanks for your awesome work. Regards ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Dibo · 2012-09-06 10:42 BTW about this image: Could it be placed on some torrent etc? This is big file. I left my computer at night to download the file. But in the morning when I try extract this file, I get error that archive is corrupted (checked on linux and on windows with PeaZip). Torrent client can check consistency of downloaded file and fix it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- m.vincent · 2012-09-07 10:30 I tried PeaZip on win64 - it didn't work for me, but WinRar did. Regards, Mike ---------------------------------------------------------------------- BigChimp · 2012-09-07 10:41 See earlier threads - apparently some archivers run into problems... presumably due to bugs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- eMarc · 2012-09-08 17:33 Please, ¿ someone can confirm that the Android Virtual Image currently in downloading area is running for him ?. I found that the ARM crosscompiler is not configured, and I don't have enough Linux knowledge to set it up by myself (may perfectly be my mistake, because I'm new to Lazarus, Android & Linux, I have always been a Delphi Windows developer. That's the reason that I ask for confirmation). Thank you.
