Field in HTML form not displaying correctly in LAMW jWebView

Dear ALL,

When my app opens, it displays the website: http://www.reptile-
database.org/. The site include a regular HTML form with a search
field.

However, instead of appearing in white as when the website is opened
in any browser, in my app it displays in black, what makes it
impossible for the user to see what is being typed in the search field
(see the attached images).

How to have the search field colour correctly appear in jWebView as it
appears in a browser?

Hi, try to load a page with responsive functions like BootStrap, if it
works, then you'll need to redesign your website to allow responsive
functions.

Thanks for your suggestion, but what this "Bootstrap" is?

That website is not "mine", I have no control over its design. Just
what my simple app attempts to do is present it to the user, instead
of opening it in a browser.
