[SOLVED] Text controls overlapping in custom dialog lazarus / 43-Android ---------------------------------------------------------------------- maurobio · 2023-05-21 13:26 Dear ALL, I have been attempting - in fact, struggling! - to create a simple "About" dialog box for my Android app, using the jCustomDialog component. Starting from the AppCustomDialogDemo provided with LAMW, I got rid of the jEditText components, and added a few more jTextView components with the information I want to provide on the app. In design time, everything looks fine, but when I compile and run my app, all the damned text appears overlapping, and the dialog box is displayed in a fixed size at the bottom of the screen (instead of horizontally and vertically centered as in the demo app) -- all this in complete contrast to the demo app which, of course, works fine.  I presume that some 'magic' combination of the several 'PositionRelativeTo' properties should do the trick, but I had no success in finding what may it be. Could someone provide some hints on how to create a humble "About" modal dialog box which appears on the center of the secreen, with nicely aligned and correctly spaced text inside? A simple working example would in fact be great! Thanks in advance. Attached are screenshots of the custom dialog box at design time in the PC and at runtime in the cellphone. Thanks for your help and patience!
