[SOLVED] App menu does not displaying lazarus / 43-Android ---------------------------------------------------------------------- maurobio · 2023-05-20 20:12 Dear ALL, I want to add a simple menu (with just three options) to my app. I dropped a jMenu control on the app form and set the options in the strings editor. but when I run the app, no menu is displayed. I tried to follow the demos, but found them unnecessarily complicated (for the aim of providing a simple 'Hello, World with a menu for dummies') and could not translate any of them into something workable in my own app. Could anybody give me a hand on that? With best regards, ---------------------------------------------------------------------- jmpessoa · 2023-05-20 23:23 QuoteI dropped a jMenu control on the app form and set the options in the strings editor..... And now do this: Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]window.onload = function(){var x1 = document.getElementById("main_content_section"); if (x1) { var x = document.getElementsByClassName("geshi");for (var i = 0; i procedure TAndroidModule1.AndroidModule1CreateOptionMenu(Sender: TObject;  jObjMenu: jObject);var   i: integer;begin   for i:=0 to Menu1.Options.Count-1 do   begin                                                          Menu1.AddItem(jObjMenu, 10+i , Menu1.Options.Strings[i], '' , mitDefault, misNever);   end;end; procedure TAndroidModule1.AndroidModule1ClickOptionMenuItem(Sender: TObject;  jObjMenuItem: jObject; itemID: integer; itemCaption: string; checked: boolean );begin  ShowMessage(itemCaption);end;  Otherwise, you can update LAMW and try the new "AppMenuDemo3"  and some improved icons support.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- maurobio · 2023-05-21 11:28 Hi, @jpessoa! Thanks (again!), it works great! The demos now make some sense... It will take some time (and patience!) to adapt myself to developing apps for Android, as the components and methods are quite different from those in Windows/Linux where I feel at will. With warmest regards,
