Unable to create Android Virtual Device lazarus / 43-Android ---------------------------------------------------------------------- maurobio · 2023-05-11 22:14 Dear ALL, I have successfully installed LAMW for Windows (according to the instructions from https://github.com/jmpessoa/lazandroidmodulewizard) and I can now compile and run Android apps without much trouble. However, I can only install and run apps directly in the cell phone; if I attempt to compile and run the app without connecting the cell phone, a dialog box shows up asking for the Android Virtual Device for which, however, a image is not installed. Running the Android SDK Manager shows that in fact there are no image installed (it seems that the instructions from https://github.com/jmpessoa/lazandroidmodulewizard overlooked that step). My question, then, is: what image should I install? In my system I have the Android 10 (API 29) and Android 11 (API 30) installed, but no image for any of them (see attached image). Should I install all images listed for each API, or just one of them? Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide. With warmest regards, ---------------------------------------------------------------------- loaded · 2023-05-12 05:41 I think the easiest and fastest method for this job is to use Android Studio Emulators. In addition ; Can use LAMW Android Studio Emulators. You can do this in two ways; -Run the Emulator from within Android Studio, then compile your projects in LAMW, Your Projects will Work in the Emulator. -Run the emulator manually as I mentioned in the link below, then your projects will run in the emulator. https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,56851.msg422560.h tml#msg422560 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mongkey · 2023-05-13 08:50 With android studio you'll get: Easy native android control with pascal Easy ridding for android versioning -> permission Easy theming Android version change, would not affect much of your code
